The following organizations provide help to those that are living with spinal cord injuries through grants, equipment donations and other means of support. Similar organizations can also be found on the State Resources and SCI Organizations pages.


180 Medical Scholarship Program
Developed to honor young adults with spinal cord injuries who wish pursue goals of higher education.

The American College of Financial Services Center for Special Needs
Committed to elevating the special needs planning knowledge of financial professionals and the public. Includes a webinar-style educational series to increase the financial literacy of individuals who have been impacted by a spinal cord injury or other paralyzing condition. The six-part series is also informative for caregivers and families impacted by such an injury.

Benefits.gov
A partnership of Federal agencies and organizations with a shared vision — to provide improved, personalized access to government benefit programs. The site helps citizens find benefits they may be eligible for, and provides information on how to apply for assistance.

Envisioning Access
Their goal is to help empower individuals with physical disabilities to live more independent and engaged lives by providing resources through the utilization of robotics, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI).

Help Hope Live
Helps patients and families faced with a transplant, catastrophic injury or illness by providing the tools and support needed to launch and sustain successful fundraising campaigns to meet out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Volunteer engineers, designers and inventors that design and create unique custom solutions for individuals with special needs to engage in and pursue their passions.

MW Fund
Provides financial assistance for specialized spinal cord injury rehabilitation not covered by insurance and to further support research initiatives developed for SCI recovery.

Patient Care Medical Scholarship Program
Scholarship program that aims to ease the financial burden for students and individuals suffering from spinal cord injuries in their pursuits of higher education.

Ryan Shazier Fund for Spinal Rehabilitation
Their mission is to give those with spinal cord injuries and their caregivers the support, resources and funding they need to live independent and meaningful lives.

SCORE Fund
Non-profit organization that promotes rehabilitation and independent living through financial grants to individuals paralyzed while participating in sports or recreational activities, and who have a demonstrated need for assistance.

Test Prep Insight Scholarship
Offers an annual scholarship of $1,500 to students with disabilities. To be eligible, applicants must must have a medically recognized physical or mental disability and be currently enrolled at or planning to attend a 2-4 year university, community college or graduate school program located in the United States.

Travis Roy Foundation
The Travis Roy Foundation provides grants to victims of spinal cord paralysis based on financial need and also funds research. In addition to grant information, the web site contains information about Foundation events, fund-raisers and programs, as well as SCI information and resources.

US Catheter Supplies Academic Scholarship
This scholarship opportunity is open to students across all academic programs and disciplines, whether pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. To be considered, applicants must craft an acrostic poem addressing the specified essay prompt.
