Center for Paralysis Research
The Center for Paralysis Research at Purdue University was founded to both develop and test promising methods of treatment for spinal cord injuries.

International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD) (Canada)
Interactive group of research laboratories at the University of British Columbia dedicated to study of developing and adult nervous system and repair and rehabilitation after injury or disease.

Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center
Dedicated to developing successful spinal cord repair strategies in the laboratory that can be taken to the clinic in a timely and responsible fashion.

Miami Project to Cure Paralysis
A Center of Excellence at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. A research program conducting cutting edge discovery, translational, and clinical investigations targeting spinal cord and brain injuries.

Myelin Project
The Myelin Project aims to accelerate research on myelin repair. Myelin, the white matter insulating the nerves, allows the conduction of impulses from one part of the body to another. It can be destroyed by hereditary metabolic disorders such as the leukodystrophies, and in acquired diseases such as ultiple sclerosis. is a non-profit organization engaged in research to find a way to repair myelin as soon as possible.

Reeve-Irvine Research Center
The Reeve-Irvine Research Center has been established to study injuries to and diseases of the spinal cord that result in paralysis or other loss of neurological function, with the goal of finding a cure. In partnership with Christopher Reeve, the Center is part of the College of Medicine of the University of California, Irvine.

Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center
Located at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, SCoBIRC was established in 1999 to promote both individual and collaborative studies on injuries to the spinal cord and brain that result in paralysis or other loss of neurologic function.

Spinal Cord Research Centre (Canada)

Spinal Cord Society
An international non-profit organization for cure research and treatment of spinal cord injury paralysis. Their laboratory is independent and privately funded through a chapter network. It is one of the few in the world to utilize the chronic, contusion injury model, which most resembles injuries in people.

The Center, Situated at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is dedicated to collaborative research and to accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into effective human spinal cord injury therapies.
